Today is the Best Day of My Life!
I just wanted to share an idea with you that I’ve been using…
Do you remember in the movie “Office Space” when Peter says “Everyday is the worst day of my life” well I took that idea and turned it around.
What if everyday you said to yourself “today is the best day of my life”
Then when people asked you “how are you?” what if you responded “today is the best day of my life”?
I can tell you what will happen because I’ve actually done it. People will look at you kind of weird, and smile, saying “what happened?” because they assume that the only reason it could possibly be the best day of your life is because you won the lottery or got a promotion…etc.
At that point you get to try and explain to them that you are being happy by choice and that idea my friends will blow people’s minds!
You see we are conditioned to complain. When you pick something like this little idea of “today is the best day of my life”, and you choose to be happy, things change, your circumstances change, people change and your attitude changes. And when all that happens you change. And when you change, your future changes.

P.S. If you’ve never seen Office Space it’s a “must-see” if you still work a 9-5 and especially if you work at an office.

I came to read this from Frank Haywood’s blog and realized this is a “biblical principal”: [Rom 4:17] “Calling those things which be not, as though they were.” Thanks for reminding me.
