The Adventures of Jae Jans - “just another day in paradise…”

After a year of my brain exploding with ideas in 2007 I decided to getaway from everything and take a trip to South America. I ran into some problems with an internet connection shortly after getting here. But am connected again.

Let me tell you… sometimes it’s nice to just relax without any kind of contact with the digital world…. it’s relieving in a way, but now that I’m connected again I feel great. And this year I am focusing on channeling my energy into one project at a time. The other way just wasn’t working. If you’ve been there like most of us have then you know what I mean….

I want to share a couple pics from Uruguay with you and then tell you about the new community I’m working on that will be consuming most of my time.

First here is a pic of me with a yerba mate gourd

…for those of you who haven’t heard of yerba mate, it’s a South American drink that stimulates the mind and energizes the body. I’ve been hooked for about 5 years now. I love the stuff. (The thing I’m holding is a gourd, they’re really not that big usually:)

The main food eaten here is wood cooked steak,  below is a picture of me next to a parrilla (barbecue grill)…

They eat just about every part of the cow down here. I’m not kidding… I’ve already tried intestines and one of my new “Amigos” here wants me to try Cow testicles in a couple weeks. Apparently it’s a delicacy here. We’ll see what happens.

Anyway back to the internet marketing world. I’ll be working on a new social community for marketers of all sorts.

My passion which I’ve delayed for a while is travel.

Sure I’ve traveled around the States and there are some great things to do but until now my contact with other cultures has been limited. Soon I’ll be traveling to South America and also in Europe. I plan on learning Spanish fluently and studying relentlessly to accomplish this goal.

I’d like to suggest to you that if you have a desire  to see the world, Don’t Wait Until you Retire. The world is waiting for you to explore it the time is now. I’ve gone through several thousand mile moves in my life and any hesitancy that I had before I left quickly melted once I met new friends and experienced a variation in culture. See for yourself the world that awaits you. Much of your experience is determined by your expectation. You could call it The Law of Attraction or whatever you want. The fact is I’ve experienced twice as much life as the average person, both the ups and the downs but it’s all been worth it because if you don’t live and explore it’s all been for nothing and regret is the worst thing you can possibly live with.

I’d like to invite you to join me. Not just figuratively, sure you can comment or email me but if you are serious about traveling find out where I’m at and lets meet. 2 truths have become increasingly apparent to me. There is new life to experience both in travel and in  meeting new people. These are my 2 great passions and I’d love to share my knowledge and experience with you.
